Bike To Work Day
April 29th, 2008
I’ll keep it short today and let the picture speak the thousand words.
Headline One: Yesterday, inspired by our Saturday cycle in gorgeous, summery weather (and an ongoing oil crisis), I made my first journey to work by bicycle — a 20 mile roundtrip.
Headline Two: Yesterday the rain predicted all weekend finally appeared. Oh yes, and it was accompanied by hail.
Here’s me after rain and hail and 20 miles on a muddy towpath:

One of these days, I’ll learn to never turn my back on Scottish weather!

Are those rabbit droppings on your shirt?!?

In the hopes that you will restart chronicling your Scottish adventures for those of us too busy or lazy or whatever to skype you when you are home or awake (or both) here goes.
Mud riding is fun, entertaining and challenging keep it up. I expect by now you have aquired a spandex riding outfit, scared the locals (and perhaps yourself and certainly Orla) and seen that with a light parka you can be mostly dry (grin).
